“Plastic surgery is the most interesting and challenging career I can think of. While there are some surgeries we perform often enough to be considered ‘routine,’ every patient is different and will present their own unique challenges. Getting the best results for your patients requires knowledge and creativity, in addition to technical mastery of surgical technique. My residency training provided me with the necessary fundamentals and my years in practice have given me the experience and judgment to offer my patients results that are second to none.”

Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a “nose job,” is a surgical procedure that reshapes or resizes the nose. It can be performed for cosmetic reasons, functional improvement (like breathing), or both.
If you’re unhappy with the appearance of your nose or have difficulty breathing through it, you may benefit from rhinoplasty. During your consultation, Dr. Swail will evaluate your nose’s internal and external structure to determine the right approach for your needs.
Yes. Dr. Swail takes a conservative, artistic approach to ensure your results look balanced and natural — never overdone. The goal is to enhance your facial harmony, not change your identity.
Open rhinoplasty involves a small incision between the nostrils, allowing more visibility and precision. Closed rhinoplasty keeps incisions inside the nose and may be used for less complex cases. Dr. Swail will choose the method that best fits your goals.
Most patients wear a nasal splint for 5–7 days and can return to work or school within 1–2 weeks. Swelling continues to improve over several months, and final results may take up to a year to fully settle.
If the procedure is performed to correct a breathing issue or deviated septum, it may be partially covered. Cosmetic rhinoplasty is not typically covered. Our team can help you understand what’s eligible during your consultation.
Yes. Many patients combine rhinoplasty with chin augmentation, eyelid surgery, or other facial procedures to enhance overall harmony. Dr. Swail can guide you on the best combination for your goals.
